The one-time historical "BUDA REGION"
wine-district was made up of 34 settlements together with Budapest.
For the initiative of the remaining hill settlements with white
grape areas of excellent facilities - and with the approving support
of the professional authorities - the ETYEK BUDAI wine district
has reborn as BUDAI district.
In the settlement of Tök the traditions of wine culture reach back
to the Roman times, but it has a great probability that the area's
medieval flourishing can be thanked to the Premontrean monastic
order settled in Zsámbék.
The KOVÁCS PINCE can be found in the cellar
row at the end of the village, along the Zsámbék-Tök-Perbál road,
at the end of the service road starting at the cellar signing board.
The 1600 hl family cellar was built in
1996, presently we dispose of 780 hl acid-proof, coolable steel
tanks. The wine production takes place with modern, controlled fermentation
reductive technology.
